There is a three level parking garage, in front of the Terminal, offering short-term and long-term parking.  The terminal is in walking distance from lots our surface lots designated as West Lot and Center Lot.  A free shuttle is offered to/from Long Term parking. (See Shuttle Services)

Accessible Parking

During the past year, the Memphis Shelby-County Airport Authority (“MSCAA”) has studied its terminal parking garage, connectors from the garage to the terminal, and main traffic areas leading into the terminal to determine if there were feasible changes that could be made to improve access.  As a result of this voluntary assessment of accessibility, MSCAA took a number of steps which will benefit the disabled community including: 

MSCAA reconfigured the location of accessible spaces in its garage to improve access and reduce travel distance to the terminal and to ensure that all accessible spaces in the garage are on covered floors that are not exposed to the weather. 

MSCAA added accessible spaces in the garage.  There are approximately seventy-six (76) accessible spaces in the covered parking garage. 

MSCAA reconstructed ramps and crosswalks leading to the terminal and added hand rails in certain locations to make its parking structure and terminal crosswalks more accessible. 

MSCAA added a cell-phone parking lot as you enter the terminal drive near the Radisson which allows persons to park outside the parking area and wait until their guests are ready to be picked up before entering the parking areas.  This cell-phone parking lot is free and located outside the terminal parking area.  Additionally, all patrons may park or remain in the terminal parking area for 30 minutes without charge.  This cell-phone parking lot and the 30 minutes of free parking/terminal parking access should assist individuals picking up passengers and guests without charge. 

MSCAA voluntarily spent over $300,000 to improve accessibility and access in its garage, walkways, terminal and administrative offices during the past eighteen (18) months.

Location of Accessible Parking

Short-term accessible spaces and van accessible spaces in the terminal garage are located on the ground level near the A, B, and C passenger walkways. 

 

Long-term accessible spaces and van accessible spaces are located on the lower level along the entire south wall of the garage close to the terminal and on the south ends of the parking rows.  These long-term spaces are as close as some of the short-term spaces.

Accessible parking for employees of tenants of the airport and airport employees is located in assigned employee lots with accessible buses available for transport to the terminal.

Vehicles occupying accessible parking spaces must display an appropriately designated license plate or “hang tag”.

 Vehicle Assistance Service:

24-hour complimentary services are provided for customers using the airport’s short or long-term parking facilities.  Services offered are battery starts tire inflation, lost car location, and escorting services.  To obtain these services, please call (901) 922-8065.

The Memphis International Airport is not responsible for your vehicle or items left in your vehicle while parking.

PICKING UP PASSENGERS

To pick-up guests at the airport, we encourage you to use short term parking. After you park you will find the entrances to the airport very convenient.  There is no charge for the first thirty minutes in short term parking.

You may also use our Cell Lot.  It is  a free waiting area located next to the hotel on the entrance road.  Once your guest arrives, have them contact you and then proceed to the terminal.
